View from the location of the Nath boatyard towards the old Dutch fort in Galle, where Nath Boatyard was situated when it first came to Galle in 1980. In 1986 the boatyard moved from the fort in Galle to give room for the Maritime Museum.
The boatyard lies on the shores of the bay a short distance from the yacht harbour. Boats are launched directly into the sea. The construction of a jetty and facilitites for visiting yachts are planned as part of the reconstruction of the boatyard following the tsunami. |

Morning comes to the famous beach in Unawatunna only 4 km from the boatyard in Galle. Along the beach you'll find a string of restaurants and guesthouses offering food and lodging at very reasonable prices. The reef protecting the bay offers good snorkeling and scuba-diving. Here is your possibility of staying in a wonderful place while supervising work being done to your yacht in the boatyard. |
